Meet David Buckner
With more than 20 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, David Buckner knows what it takes to bring complex projects to life. After graduating from Western Carolina University, he spent years managing large-scale commercial builds across North and South Carolina.
But David saw an opportunity to change the way commercial general contracting was done. He wanted to build a company that prioritized the client’s peace of mind just as much as the quality of the craftsmanship. In April of 2018, he took that vision and founded Buckner Build.
His philosophy is simple: keep things transparent, address challenges head-on, and treat every client like a friend. By fostering incredibly strong relationships with both clients and the best subcontractors in the region, David ensures that every Buckner Build project is rooted in timeliness, professionalism, and unshakeable integrity.
Rooted in Wilmington
Buckner Build isn’t a faceless corporation; we are proudly family-owned and operated right here in Wilmington, North Carolina.
When David isn’t walking a job site or meeting with clients, he’s focused on what matters most. He and his wife, Ashley, stay busy raising their three children (and the family dogs). Whether they are out boating, fishing, playing a round of golf, or just spending quality time together, the Buckners are deeply invested in the coastal community they call home.
Scott Spencer
Scott is a Southport native who grew up working along side his father building residential homes, where he developed a strong passion for construction. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, playing guitar and spending time with his wife.
